The name Disc Tree uses when a platform needs an app

Disc Tree is a disc golf shop. The software that runs the shop reads and updates Disc Tree's own accounts on the platforms the shop depends on: the store, advertising, analytics, bookkeeping, payments and team chat.

Most of those platforms require a registered app before their API can be used. DT Connect is the name and logo Disc Tree gives that registration, so the same identity shows up on every platform.

Who uses it

Only Disc Tree. DT Connect is not offered to customers or to other businesses, and nobody outside Disc Tree signs in through it. When a platform shows a DT Connect consent screen, the person approving it is Disc Tree granting its own software access to its own account.

What it touches

The accounts Disc Tree owns on each platform, and nothing else. Examples are order and product data in the shop, campaign statistics from advertising accounts, website analytics and search performance for Disc Tree's own sites, and bookkeeping entries.
